While Logan was involved in some of these scrapes, it was his brother Arthur who took the worst hits. Arthur was even fairer than his brother, with wavy red hair and blue eyes. In later years he would utilize his light complexion for business and pleasure. He acted as Logan's "spy" to gain information on the discriminatory employment practices in New Deal programs and in the private sector, and "passed" to gain entrance into whites-only entertainment.

It is similar with Rayford Logan. He did not labor in obscurity, as did Walker's mother, but much of his life's work has been hidden.
